Britney Spears is Looking to Publish a New Book

Britney Spears is in talks to sign a book deal with HarperCollins imprint It Books, sources report. That’s right, Brit-Brit is hoping to soon author her first novel.

Britney Spears, the sexy songstress-turned-”X Factor” judge, is trying to follow in the footsteps of the likes of Sammy Hagar, Motley Crue, and others. According to The Hollywood Reporter, “[Spears'] rep confirms that It Books, an imprint of HarperCollins, which has released many popular musician memoirs (among them: autobiographies by Sammy Hagar, The Game, Slash and Motley Crue), is having ‘discussions’ with the singer.”

No word yet on what the topic(s) for the book would be. And, the terms of a potential advance were not reported.

Washington Post blogger Jen Chaney wrote the following about the potential new book from Ms. Spears… “I for one am dying to read the story of a pop star who becomes wildly famous for her ability to sing with a python draped around her neck, stars on a B-grade UPN reality show with her dancer husband, suffers a severe breakdown that involves shaving her head, but then triumphantly bounces back and lands not just one, but two, ‘Glee’ tribute episodes devoted to her work. The protagonist’s name will be Bambi. You know, because it will be a work of fiction.”

Personally, we here at BuzzReport.net would love to read about the exploits of Britney. Let’s just hope she confirms all the juicy rumors we’ve been hearing about her for so long now.
